Side effects

Fu Zi in its natural form has a high toxicity and should not be used directly. Fu Zi (Zhi) is processed from Fu Zi according to a traditional method of Chinese medicine and has a much reduced toxicity. Fu Zi (Zhi) is further cooked during extraction before forming the granules we sell here. In the process the toxicity is further reduced. For verification of its safety, we measure the content of toxic substances (aconitine + hypaconitine + mesaconitine) in the finished product to make sure they are well lower than the safety threshold established by China Pharmacopoeia. This is a powerful product. It is safe to consume the suggested dosage as indicated on the label. However, for your safety, please do not take amounts exceeding the recommended daily dosage.

Warning

Do not use during pregnancy

Precaution

Use single Chinese herbs or herbal extracts with caution. Professional advice is suggested. In TCM, Chinese herbs are mostly combined in the context of formulas to enhance each other's desirable action and to minimize any potential side effect. You may want to search our extensive collection of patent Chinese medicine to find the formulas that utilize the herb of interest.
